Smudging Technique

The sacred smoke of Sage has been used for centuries to dispel negative energies, purify, cleans and spiritually protect your aura, home and workplace.

Open all windows and doors to allow negative energies and troublesome spirits to leave with the clearing smoke.

Light Sage, blow out flame and allow to smolder. Moving slowly through the building, waft smoke into all nooks and crannies holding the intention that all negative energies will be expelled from the area of focus. Ask Archangel Michael to assist as necessary.

If cleansing the aura, trace the outline of the body with the smouldering smudge stick.

Allow smoke to clear thoroughly before closing the windows and doors.

To extinguish your smudge stick, push into a heat proof dish containing salt, sand or soil until completely out. Empty cooled ash outdoors.

 NB: Never leave lit Sage unattended whilst smudging.
